The Industrial Areas Foundation (IAF) conducts Leadership Institutes to provide in-depth experience with the organizing practices and principles developed over 75 years by IAF member organizations.

The Institutes are a week long and are held at various times in multiple locations each year. The national IAF training is held each summer.

The Institutes are intended for:

• Leaders of institutions that are members of a local IAF affiliate; are actively exploring membership; or are participating in a startup organizing/sponsoring committee.
  
  
• Members of those organizations who are actively engaged in a local IAF affiliate and/or who have attended local Leadership Institutes.
